This episode filled me with lots of questions. Maybe I don’t understand everything because I didn’t watch the original “Melrose Place.” I wonder if Jane is working with the police somehow, because how did she know that Violet was a fugitive? There has to be verification that Violet is Sydney’s daughter. I think she should get a DNA test. Violet lied about Sydney’s reaction to finding out she had a daughter to make herself look less guilty. If Violet ran from the police because she was afraid they found out she stole money from her parents, then why was the police questioning her about Sydney’s murder, and not her parents? I think Violet made that up as a cover story. She wasn’t exactly clear on what kind of people her parents were. Violet never said they were abusive, just that she wasn’t happy with them.

I was talking to a friend of mine who is somewhat familiar with the original “Melrose Place,” and she said that Sydney was pregnant at some point. That makes me wonder if Sydney lied about not having a baby. Jane seems to have a personal grudge against Ella. I have to wonder what she wants from Ella besides her client. Maybe she wants Ella to promote her fashion line. I’d like to know more about Jane’s marriage to Michael. It’s interesting how both sisters were married to the same man, and it ended with both couples splitting up.

The most exciting scene was with Lauren and her “date.” She should have gotten the money beforehand, not that I agree with what she is doing at all. I was scared that guy was going to do more then push her. At first I wondered why Lauren didn’t report him for assault, but then I realized they both have a lot to loose. This could get out and ruin Lauren’s chances at medical school. We don’t know who this guy is, what he is, or his reputation.
