I liked the opening shot of Violet snooping around in Auggie’s room. There were some really nice fade ins’ and fade outs. It was a great method for showing the passage of time. That scene proved my thought of Violet being obsessed with Auggie and Sydney. I wonder how far she’ll go to get Auggie’s attention.
I think it was a great move for Riley to model for a big campaign. Real people wearing designer clothes are a definite selling point. I didn’t get the impression it was a “Riley” thing to do, but it is a way of her coming out of her shell that is familiar.
Lauren should have stayed at the party, not that I like what she is doing. It would have made it more interesting to have David discover her. Would she tell him the truth or make up a cover story? He could have discovered Lauren by seeing her with a guy who was violent. David would have saved the day, and found out the truth. Or, Lauren could have told him a million reasons why she was there in the first place.
Michael definitely proved that he is more like his son then he realizes. It didn’t take much for him to cheat on his wife. Violet believes he’s the reason she didn’t get to know Sydney, because Michael wouldn’t let her get better. That doesn’t make sense to me. Is Violet talking about Sydney’s addiction to alcohol? Why would Michael not want her to be sober? The killer is the reason Violet didn’t get to know Sydney. If that’s Michael then she was somewhat justified in going after him. I think the reason for Violet seducing and blackmailing Michael should have been made clearer. Maybe the reason could have been Michael rejecting Sydney to be in his life.
